The Travel Diaries – New Journey

It begins again as we move to level 1

Looking out towards Wakefield

Welcome to a covid free New Zealand, well at least in theory, and hello to level 1. And this means we will be mostly back to life as normal here while the rest of the world still basks in the chaos and our boarders remained closed off. Luckily for me is that I can move freely around the country and start looking for a job. This means, a road trip back up to Auckland!

It has been great hiding out here in Nelson while the country gets back to normal, I have caught up with friends and family and it has been great to see them all. Missed out on seeing a couple of people, but with families and also with me staying all the way out in Belgrove, it does make it a bit difficult. However I will be back in Nelson at the very least to pick up all my stuff if I do get a job, or just to come back, and get ready for a second attempt to find work if all else fails.

Just the natural beauty of NZ

My trip begins on Wednesday with a flight back to the windy city of Wellington. I will stay there for a few days before heading up to Napier, Gisborne and then up to Whakatane, Tauranga and Rotorua. From there across to Hamilton and then finally up to Auckland. I wont be spending too much time in each place, still need to be weary of not spending too much money and the focus of this trip is to find a job while making myself known to a few places along the way and reacquainting myself with old friends. There will be plenty of time for spending holiday time in each place later on esp since overseas travel will be off the cards for a few years.

See you again soon Nelson,I’ll be back
